Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Police Department, Administration/Services Decision Unit, Office of the Chief of Police", add the footnote designation "(A)" following one position of "Administrative Assistant IV" and add the following footnote: "(A) Incumbents assigned to this position, who may be subsequently reassigned for whatever reason, shall revert to the position title which they held at the time of appointment." Under "Technical Services Bureau, Central Records Administration Section", delete one position of "Office Assistant IV." Under "Operations Decision Unit", delete one position of "Administrative Assistant IV" and add one position of "Administrative Assistant III." Under "Criminal Investigation Bureau", add one position of "Administrative Assistant II." Under "Special Operations Bureau", add one position of "Administrative Assistant II."
Under "Department of Public Works-Administrative Services Division, Administration Section", delete one position of "Customer Services Specialist", one position of "Customer Services Representative II" and three positions of "Customer Service Representative I" and add one position of "DPW Customer Service Supervisor", one position of "Customer Service Representative III" and three positions of "Customer Service Representative II."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby further amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 1998 - June 28, 1998):
Under "Department of Public Works, Buildings and Fleet Division, Facilities Management Section, Operations and Maintenance Unit, Auxiliary Personnel", delete two positions of "Communications Assistant II" and substitute in lieu thereof two positions of "Communications Assistant III."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 1998 (June 28, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
