Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2000 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 990704 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration-Information and Technology Management Division, Corporate Information Services", delete one position of "Network Analyst-Assistant" and add one position of "Network Analyst-Senior."
Under "Health Department, Administration, Pilot Ordinance Evaluation Grant (H)", delete one position of "Health Project Coordinator (H)(X)" and add one position of "Lead Project Coordinator (POEP)(H)(X)"; under "Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic, STD/HIV Prevention Training Grant", add one position of "Nurse Practitioner (BB)(X)(.5 FTE)" and add footnote "(BB)" to read: "To expire 4/30/01 unless the STD/HIV Prevention Training Grant, available from the Cincinnati Health Department, is extended."; under "Bioterrorism Grant (Q)" add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Epidemiologist (Q)"; under "School Health Program", add footnote "(X)" to four positions of "Public Health Nurse (G)"; under "Environmental Health Technology", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Environmental Scientist (PP)(Y)" and to four positions of "Environmental Hygienist (P)"; under "Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant (P)", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Environmental Hygienist (P)"; under "Keenan Health Center", add footnote "(C)" to one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)"; under "Southside Health Center", delete footnote "(A)" from one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)"; under "Case Coordination Program", add footnote "(G)" to three positions of "Public Health Nurse (MM)(X)"; under "HIV Women's Project (L)", add footnote "(G)" to one position of "Public Health Nurse (L)(X)"; under "Chronic Disease Division", delete one position of "Nutritionist (X)" and delete footnote "(C)" from one position of "Nutritionist Coordinator (C)(X)"; under "Preventive Health Grant (I)", delete one position of "Office Assistant II (.45 FTE)(I)" and add one position of "Office Assistant II (I)(N)"; under "Breast Cancer Awareness Program Grant", delete one position of "Public Health Nurse (U)(X)" and add one position of "Public Health Nurse (G)(KK)(X)"; under "Women's, Infant's and Children's Nutrition Program Grant (C)", delete two positions of "Office Assistant II (C)"; under "Tuberculosis Control Unit", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "X-Ray Technician III"; delete footnote "(A)" from one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)"; under "Medical Assistance Outreach Grant (N)", delete one position of "Office Assistant II (.5 FTE)(N)"; under "Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (W)", delete two positions of "Public Health Aide (W)(X)" and one position of "Environmental Health Specialist II (W)(X)"; under "Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Grant (S)", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Environmental Health Specialist II (S)"; delete one position of "Public Health Nurse (G)(S)(X)"; one position of "Lead Project Coordinator (S)(Y)"; two positions of "Public Health Aide (S)(X)"; one position of "Office Assistant II (S)"; one position of "Program Assistant II (S)"; two positions of "Environmental Health Specialist II (S)" and one position of "Laboratory Assistant (.5 FTE)"; under "Lead Pilot Project Grant (E)", delete one position of "Laboratory Helper (.5 FTE)(E)" and add one position of "Laboratory Assistant I (E)(S)"; delete "Injury Prevention Grant (K)" and all positions listed thereunder and delete footnote "(K)" in its entirety; delete "Refugee Screening Program Grant (A)" and all positions listed thereunder and delete footnote "(A)" in its entirety; delete "Immunization Outreach Grant (R)" and all positions listed thereunder; delete "HUD Lead Based Paint Abatement Grant (LL)" and all positions listed thereunder and delete footnote "(LL)" in its entirety; delete footnote "(C) and recreate it to read: "(C) To expire 12/31/00 unless the Women, Infants and Children's Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, is extended. Also funds .25 of the Public Health Nurse Supervisor in Keenan Health Center."; add the following sentence to footnote "(E)" as it currently exists: ".5 FTE of Lab Assistant funded by Lead Based Paint Hazard Control."; add the following sentence to footnote (I) as it currently exists: ".5 FTE of an Office Assistant II funded by Medical Assistance Outreach Grant."; change the date in footnote "(M)" to read: "9/30/00"; add the following sentence to footnote (N) as it currently exists: "This grant also funds .5 FTE of an Office Assistant II in Preventive Health Grant."; add the following sentence to footnote "(S)" as it currently exists: "Also funds .5 of a Lab Assistant in Lead Pilot Project Grant."; change the date in footnote "(U)" to read "12/31/00"; change the date in footnote "(V)" to read: "6/30/00"; add footnote "(EE)" to read: "To expire 6/30/00 unless the Coordinated Community Response Grant is extended."; change the date in footnote "(JJ)" to read: "9/30/00"; change the date in footnote "(PP)" to read: "12/31/00"; under "Auxiliary Positions", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Nutritionist" and one position of "Public Health Aide."
Under "Department of Employee Relations-Administration Division", add one position of "Network Coordinator-Associate"; under "Operations Division", delete the "Pay Services Section" and "Certification Section" headers and create a combined heading of "Certification and Pay Services Section"; delete one position of "Salary Systems Administrator" and one position of "Personnel Analyst-Senior" and add one position of "Certification and Salary Systems Administrator."
Under "Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Decision Unit, Estimates", delete one position of "Office Assistant III" and add one position of "Office Assistant IV."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
