Substitute resolution relating to the use and/or allocation of additional Community Development Block Grant, HOME, and Enterprise Community reprogramming funds.

Whereas, The amount of Community Development Block Grant has additional funds available for reprogramming; and

 

Whereas, The Community Development Committee has agreed to award funds to identified projects that have traditionally been funded out of reprogramming funds and are ready to go and for identified unmet needs; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, That Community Development Committee has agreed to allocate the CDBG funding to the following organizations:

                     DCD/Retail Investment Fund                                                        $150,000

                        (for Lena's Grocery Store)

                     LaCausa                                                                                                                                       28,083

                     MEDC (for V. Marchese) - LID                                                    150,000

      Friends of Housing                                                                                                  $123,000

      Select Milwaukee Community Goal            300,000

      Milwaukee Midtown Housing Corp                              250,000

 

; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is responsible for awarding a subrecipient contract for these approved activities; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the subrecipient organizations shall submit budget and activity reports in amounts and according to any conditions approved by the Common Council and in accordance with File Number 74-92-5v, to the Community Block Grant Administration and the City Comptroller for review and approval; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That payments for cost incurred shall be paid in accordance with approved CDBG reimbursement policy based on the approval by the Community Block Grant Administration and the City Comptroller; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That except as modified by this resolution, the guidelines for handling the Community Development Block Grant Program set forth in Common Council File Number 74-92-5v are fully applicable to the 2002 Community Development Entitlement Funding Program.
