Resolution approving amendment to contract 23-002 to Otis Elevator Company (Milwaukee, WI) for elevator maintenance and repair services at various sites in the amount of $333,333.00
Staff recommends exercising the option to renew the contract for another year pursuant to the terms of the contract. The current contract authority is a not to-exceed amount of $1,000,000.00, expiring May 31, 2026. The amendment will add a not-to-exceed amount of $333,333.00 to the contract and extend it through May 31, 2027, with the option to extend up to one additional one-year term. All other terms and conditions of the contract remain in effect.

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Housing Authority) authorized and approved entering into a contract with Otis Elevator Company for Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services at Various Sites; and
WHEREAS, Otis Elevator Company has performed the services satisfactorily during the initial term of the contract, and it is in the best interests of the Housing Authority to extend the contract at the same rates, terms, and conditions of the original contract; and
WHEREAS, Otis Elevator Company has agreed to renew the contract at the same rates, terms, and conditions as the original contract; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority that they hereby authorize and approve amending Contract No. 23-002 with Otis Elevator Company by authorizing an additional $333,333.00 not-to-exceed in contract authority and extending the contract for one year for the term June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Housing Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of the Housing Authority; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all other terms and conditions of the contract not hereby amended shall remain unmodified and in full force and effect; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Housing Authority be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
