Whereas, On July 2, 2001, the Common Council passed a resolution, file no. 010212 authorizing the City Attorney to request proposals for the contract for the collection services for overdue Municipal Court judgments. The City Attorney advertised for responses to the Request for Proposals for the collection services for overdue Municipal Court judgments on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001, in the Daily Reporter; on October 26, 2001, November 2, 2001 and November 9, 2001 in the Business Journal; and on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The City Attorney has reviewed the proposals.

Whereas; The City Attorney advertised for responses to the Request for Proposals for the collection services for overdue Municipal Court judgments on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001, in the Daily Reporter; on October 26, 2001, November 2, 2001 and November 9, 2001 in the Business Journal; and on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and received four responses; and
Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed the proposals and interviewed the proposers on January 31, 2002, and determined that the proposal of Professional Placement Services, L.L.C. met the requirements of the Request for Proposals, Standard Operating Procedures and Agreement; and
Whereas, Upon review of the proposals, the City Attorney is recommending that the Common Council authorize a contract with Professional Placement Services, L.L.C., commencing April 1, 2002 for a five year period; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Contract Between the City of Milwaukee and Professional Placement Services, L.L.C., a copy of which is appended to the file, be and hereby is approved.
