Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Community Block Grant Administration", delete one position of "Grant Monitor Manager (A)(X)(Y)" and add one position of "Associate Director (A)(X)(Y)."
Under "Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Office of the Commissioner", delete one position of "Urban Development Coordinator (Y)" and add one position of "Urban Development Manager (Y)", one position of "Neighborhood Development Manager (X)(Y)", one position of "Neighborhood Development Specialist (X)(Y)", one position of "Small Business Development Officer" and one position of "Economic Development Specialist-Senior"; under "Community Planning and Development Services Decision Unit, Economic Development Division, Neighborhood Economic Development", delete one position of "Neighborhood Development Manager (X)(Y)", one position of "Neighborhood Development Specialist (X)(Y)" and one position of "Small Business Development Officer"; and under "Redevelopment and Special Project Section", delete one position of "Economic Development Specialist-Senior"; under "Public Housing Programs Decision Unit, Housing and Neighborhood Development Division, Homestead", delete one position of "Urban Homestead Coordinator (A)(X)(Y)" and add one position of "Administrative Specialist-Senior (A)(X)(Y)."
Under "Election Commission, Registration Division", delete one position of "Voting Machine Custodian (X)" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Voting Machine Technician (X)."
Under "Employes' Retirement System, Membership- Retirements-Termination", delete one position of "Analyst-Senior" and add one position of "Management Services Analyst."
Under "Health Department, Public Health Services Decision Unit, Breast Cancer Awareness Program Grant", delete one position of "Office Assistant II (U)" and add one position of "Office Assistant II (KK)" and change footnote "(KK)" to read: "(KK) To expire 9/30/98 unless the Breast Cancer Awareness Program Site Coordination Grant is extended. .25 FTE of Office Assistant II position is funded by the CDC Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Grant." and amend footnote "(C)" to read: "To expire 9/30/98 unless the Women, Infant and Childrens Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services, is extended. This grant also funds .25 FTE of the Nutritionist Coordinator and .5 FTE of the Nutritionist position located in the Chronic Disease Division."
Under "Police Department, Administration/Services Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau, Identification Division", delete ten positions of "Police Officer" and substitute therefor ten positions of "Identification Technician"; amend footnote "(F)" to read: "(F) Truancy Abatement Grant: Four positions to expire 6/30/99 unless grant funding from Milwaukee Public Schools continues." and amend footnote "(J)" to read: "(J) State Drug Abatement Grant: Positions to expire 6/30/99 unless the State Drug Abatement Grant is extended."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
