Resolution approving Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 20-003 with KPH Environmental Corporation (Milwaukee, WI) for hazardous materials abatement services at various subsidized Public Housing sites
The Housing Authority exercises its option to renew the fourth and final of four one-year renewal options. The original contract amount was $300,000 not to exceed, and a previous amendment added $50,000 not to exceed; the current contract amount is $350,000 not to exceed. The staff is recommending an additional $300,000 not to exceed, bringing the new total not to exceed to $650,000

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) solicited competitive pricing for Hazardous Materials Abatement Services at Various Subsidized Public Housing Sites and awarded the work to KPH Environmental Corp., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, KPH Environmental Corp. has performed satisfactorily during the initial one-year contract period and during the subsequent three one-year renewal periods, or four years total; and
WHEREAS, additional contract authority dollars are needed for continued routine abatement needs at various sites throughout the year and for potentially extensive abatement needs related to the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) response plan for repairs and improvements at Scattered Sites North & West; therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing of the City of Milwaukee that it hereby authorizes execution of an amendment to Contract 20-003 with KPH Environmental Corp. for Hazardous Materials Abatement Services at Various Subsidized Public Housing Sites, extending the contract period for a fifth and final year and adding $300,000.00 not-to-exceed in contract authority for additional services on an as needed basis; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from various funding sources as needed; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of HACM be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute an amendment said contract for and on behalf of HACM; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of HACM may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Commissioners of HACM.; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Commissioners of HACM be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
