Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $80,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,697,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $80,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,697,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
2nd Aldermanic District
N. 89th St. - W. Silver Spring Dr. to W. Carmen Ave. (SM499250007) Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $80,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.
4th Aldermanic District
N. Jefferson St. - E. St. Paul Ave. to E. Erie St. (SM499240028) File Number 240146: Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $20,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $320,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.
N. Vel R. Phillips Ave. - W. State St. to W. Highland Ave. (ST211250138) Laying concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter. Doing all necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $5,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.

S. Austin St. - E. Schiller St. to E. Dakota St. (SM495250036) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $174,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
S. Burrell St. - E. Dover St. to 150’ north of E. Dakota St. (SM495250037) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $20,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $863,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
Ohio Playfield Traffic Safety Improvements Project (SM499250008) Installing bioswales. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $210,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
