This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a five-year lease with the Mitchell Street State Bank for a portion of the off-street parking lot located at 1002 West Maple Street for the use of its drive-in banking facility customers as a means of egress from the drive-in facility. __________________________________________________________

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has entered into a lease and lease extensions through October 31, 1997 with the Mitchell Street State Bank for the off-street parking lot located at 1002 West Maple Street; and

Whereas, The Mitchell Street State Bank has requested that this lease be renewed for a five-year term beginning on the first day of November 1997, under the same terms and conditions as the original lease and extensions, at a rental rate of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450.00) per year; and

Whereas, The leased premises shall be used by Mitchell Street State Bank for the use of its drive-in banking facility customers as a means of egress from the drive-in facility; and

Whereas, There is sufficient off-street public parking in this area, and no additional public parking needs have been identified for these premises; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease with the Mitchell Street State Bank, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, beginning on the first day of November, 1997, and ending on the thirty-first day of October, 2002, with two five (5) year extensions permitted at the option of the City, for the off-street parking lot located at 1002 West Maple Street at the rental rate of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450.00) per year.
