Substitute resolution relative to the application, acceptance and funding of a 1998 Milwaukee County Spring/Fall Youth Employment Program Grant.
 
 
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Office of Employment and Youth Services to apply for, accept and fund a program with a grant from Milwaukee Employment and Training, Inc. in the amount of $429 with a city share of $40 (9%) and a grantor share of $389 (91%). The purpose of the grant is to fund DCD-OEYS' "College Credit Program".
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Milwaukee Employment and Training, Inc. for its College Credit Program; and
 
Whereas, The operation of this grant project/program from January 2, 1998 through June 13, 1998 or September 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998 would cost $429 of which $40 (9%) would be provided by the city, $389 (91%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to Milwaukee County's Milwaukee Employment and Training Inc. is authorized and the Office of Employment and Youth Services shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
 
1. Encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project/program titled College Credit Program:
 
Account No. Account Amount 15-010-0100 Grantor Share $389 15-010-0101 In-kind City Share $40
 
2. Create a Special Revenue Fund - Grant and Aid Projects and the necessary expenditure and revenue accounts; appropriate to these accounts the amount required under the grant agreement and transfer the corresponding offsetting estimated revenue; and be it
 
Further Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the Office of Employment and Youth Services which is authorized to:
 
Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
