Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2024 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration (Office of Community Wellness and Safety, Board of Zoning Appeals), Employes’ Retirement System, Fire Department, Library, Department of Public Works (Infrastructure Services Division)

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of Administration, Office of Community Wellness and Safety”, add footnote designation “(RST)” to one position of “Community Outreach Project Liaison (X)(WVP)”.

 

Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Membership Services”, delete two positions of “Benefit Services Specialist” and add two positions of “Benefits Services Specialist”.

 

Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit, Construction and Maintenance Division”, delete one position of “Fleet Repair Manager”, and add one position of “Fire Fleet Repair Manager”.

 

Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Central Custodial Unit”, delete fourteen positions of “Custodial Worker 3” and add fourteen positions of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Under “Branch Custodial Unit”, delete eleven positions of “Custodial Worker 3 (X)” and add eleven positions of “Custodial Worker 2 (X)”.

 

Under “Library, Auxiliary Positions”, delete two positions of “Custodial Worker 3” and add two positions of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, Bridges & Buildings Decision Unit, Custodial Services”, delete thirteen positions of “Custodial Worker 3” and add thirteen positions of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Under “Auxiliary Positions”, delete one position of “Custodial Worker 3” and add one position of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 25, 2023 - November 26, 2023):

 

Under “Department of Administration, Board of Zoning Appeals, Board of Zoning Appeals Management”, delete one position of “BOZA Administrative Coordinator” and add one position of “BOZA Administrative Manager”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I” and add one position “BOZA Administrative Assistant - Lead”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position “BOZA Administrative Assistant 2”, delete one position of “Office Assistant III (0.50 FTE)” and add one position of “BOZA Administrative Assistant 1”.

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 25, 2023 (November 26, 2023).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
