Analysis

This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

11th Aldermanic District

W. Waterford Ct. (Extended) (Private Roadway) – S. 60th St. to 600 feet m/l west of S. 60th St. (ST210020102) File Number 991429:  Concrete pavement construction, place all curb and gutter, place sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed, sodding, grading, and tree removal where necessary. (Nonassessable New Paving Fund -- $230,000)

W. Waterford Ct. (Extended) (Private Roadway) – S. 60th St. to 600 feet m/l west of S. 60th St. (ST240020402) File Number 991429:  Install street lighting.  (Nonassessable Street Lighting Fund -- $30,000)

Easement west of S. 60th St. – 180 feet m/l north of W. Waterford Ct. to 680 feet m/l west of S. 60th St. (SW170020111) File Number 991429:  Sanitary sewer expansion of capacity. (Nonassessable Expansion of Capacity Sewer Fund -- $40,000)

Water Easement 885 (Indian Community Center) from S. 60th St. to W. Norwich St. (WT410021059) File Number 991429:  Water main extension. (Nonassessable Water Fund -- $145,000)

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
