This resolution will authorize the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a contract with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to install or modify traffic control facilities in conjunction with a paving related improvement project and to install or modify those facilities upon execution of the contract, the cost of which will be included in a future resolution.

 

 

BODY:

Whereas, The Common Council previously adopted Resolution File Number 930793 on September 28, 1993, authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement for the programming and construction of the E. Oklahoma Avenue from S. Clement Avenue to a point west of the Lake Arterial Highway Improvement Project; and,

 

Whereas, Preliminary engineering and plan preparation for this project are scheduled; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works (CPW) is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation pertaining to their cost participation for the installation and/or modification of traffic control facilities in conjunction with the improvements of the above project; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the CPW is hereby authorized and directed to install the traffic control facilities necessary in conjunction with the above project, following the execution of the traffic control contract, the cost of which will be included in a future resolution.
