Resolution approving the Land Disposition Report for the properties at 1806, 1808-10 and 1818 North 24th Street and declaring as surplus the City-owned vacant lot at 1814 North 24th Street and authorizing the sale of said property to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Inc., in the 17th Aldermanic District (Redevelopment Authority).

This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority to convey the hereindescribed land to the named Redeveloper according to the conditions referred to in the Land Disposition Report.
BODY:
Whereas, On May 29, 1997, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee held a public hearing on the proposed sale as required by the Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Redevelopment Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; and
Whereas, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Inc. desires to acquire the City-owned vacant lot at 1814 North 24th Street for $1.00, which is located between the Redevelopment Authority-owned properties, so as to create a buildable site for single-family housing; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the sale of the City-owned vacant lot to be consummated in a manner provided for in Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Land Disposition Report dated May 29, 1997, with respect to the proposed sale of the following described parcels is hereby in all respects approved.
