Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Assessor’s Office, Department of City Development, Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Department of Public Works

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Real Estate and Development”, delete one position of “Real Estate Coordinator (A)(Y) and add one position of “Real Estate Coordinator II (A)(Y)”.
Under “Department of Employee Relations - Employee Benefits Division”, delete one position of “Employee Benefits and Risk Management Director (Y), delete one position of “Health and Wellness Coordinator”, add one position of “Employee Benefits Director (Y)”, and add one position of “Benefits and Wellness Coordinator”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2017 - January 1, 2017):
Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Multi-Modal Unit”, delete one position of “Transportation Planner - Senior”, delete one position of “Transportation Planner II”, add one position of “Transportation Engineering Planner”, and add one position of “Associate Transportation Planner”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 13, 2017 - June 18, 2017):
Under “Assessor’s Office, Systems and Administration Division”, delete one position of “Office Assistant III” and add one position of “Accounting Assistant II”.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2017 (January 1, 2017).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 13, 2017 (June 18, 2017).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
