Analysis
This ordinance establishes that the owner of a public passenger vehicle shall appear before the licensing committee to show cause why the public passenger vehicle permit should not be revoked in the event the permittee fails to submit a vehicle for inspection within 30 days of the date the permit was automatically suspended for failing to submit a vehicle for an annual or random inspection, or the permittee fails to present documentation evidencing insurance coverage within 45 days of the date the permit was automatically suspended for failing to present documentation evidencing insurance coverage. In addition, this ordinance establishes that whenever a public passenger vehicle driver's license holder's state of Wisconsin motor vehicle driver's license is revoked or suspended, the public passenger vehicle driver's license shall be returned to the city clerk within 10 days, and, if not returned, the license will be automatically suspended. If the licensee fails to present within 45 days of the automatic suspension documentation evidencing the possession of a valid state of Wisconsin motor vehicle driver's license, the licensee shall appear before the licensing committee to show cause why the public passenger vehicle driver's license should not be revoked.
