Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2005 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Health Department, Library and Police Department.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2005 - December 19, 2004):
Under "Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Citywide Information Systems", delete one position of "Systems Analyst/Project Leader", one position of "Systems Analyst/Project Leader (N)" and two positions of "Systems Analyst-Senior (N)", and add one position "GIS Developer-Project Leader", one position of "GIS Developer-Project Leader (N)" and two positions of "GIS Developer-Senior (N)."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Common Council-City Clerk, Central Administration Division, Auxiliary Positions", delete six positions of "Office Assistant I" and add six positions of "Legislative Services Aide."
Under "Health Department, Healthy Behaviors and HealthCare Access Division, Adolescent School Health Grant (J)", delete seven positions of "Public Health Nurse (.8 FTE)(X)(G)(J)" and add four positions of "Public Health Nurse (.8 FTE)(X)(G)(J)"; under "Maternal and Child Health Division, Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD)", delete one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)(DD)(YY)" and add one position of "Public Health Nurse (G)(DD)(X)", one position of "Public Health Educator (X)(DD)" and one position of "Office Assistant II (DD) (.5 FTE)"; under "Disease Control and Prevention Division, Bioterrorism-Focus A Grant (A)", add "one position of "Telecommunications Analyst-Associate (A) (BBB)"; change the title "Bioterrorism Grant - Focus B and E (BBB)" to "Bioterrorism Grant - Focus B (BBB)" and delete one position of "Telecommunications Analyst-Associate (BBB)" and amended footnote "(BBB)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Bioterrorism Grant Focus B is extended. Partially funds a Telecommunications Analyst-Associate"; delete footnote "(YY)" in its entirety; amend footnote "(I)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Preventive Health Grant is extended"; amend footnote "(J)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Adolescent School Health Grant is extended. Also funds .5 FTE Office Assistant II"; amend footnote "(Z)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Childhood Lead Detection Grant is extended"; amend footnote "(DD)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Immunization Action Plan Grant is extended"; amend footnote "(KK)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Cancer Control Coordination Grant is extended"; amend footnote "(A)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Bioterrorism-Focus A Grant is extended. Telecommunications Analyst Associate also partially funded by the Bioterrorism-Focus B Grant"; amend footnote "(BBB)" to read as follows: "To expire 12/31/05 unless the Bioterrorism-Focus B Grant is extended. Telecommunications Analyst Associate also partially funded by the Bioterrorism-Focus A Grant."
Under "Library, Community Outreach and Technology Center Initiative (J)", add one position of "Librarian III (J)."
Under "Police Department, Operations Decision Unit, Criminal Investigation Bureau", add the title "University of Wisconsin Medical School Grant (T)" and add one position of "Office Assistant II (T)" and add footnote "(T)" to read as follows: "University of Wisconsin Medical School Grant. Position authority for one Office Assistant II to expire 12/31/07, unless the University of Wisconsin Medical School Grant is extended."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2005 (December 19, 2004).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
