Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2021 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration, Fire and Police Commission, Health Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200537 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of Administration, Office of the Director”, add footnote “(T)” to one position of “Creative Design and Brand Specialist” and add footnote “(T)” to read as follows:

 

“(T)                     To expire 10.31.23 unless the Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations Grant is extended.” 

 

Under “Health Department, Policy, Innovation & Engagement Division”, add one position of “Graphic Designer”; add footnote designation “(T)” to one position of “Deputy Commissioner-Policy, Innovation & Engagement (X)(Y)”, one position of “Administrative Assistant III”, and one positions of “Graphic Designer”; and add footnote “(T)” to read as follows:

 

“(T)                     To expire 10.31.23 unless the Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations Grant is extended.” 

 

Under “Community Health Planning and Coordination”, add two positions of “Data and Evaluation Coordinator (X)(Y)(T)”, add one position of “Epidemiologist (X)(Y)(T)”, and add footnote designation “(T)” to one position of “Heath Data and Evaluation Director (X)(Y)”.

 

Under “Communications”, add one position of “Marketing and Communications Coordinator (X)(Y)(T) and add footnote designation “(T)” to one position of “Marketing and Communications Officer (X)(Y)”.

 

Under “Planning and Research”, add three positions of “Public Health Strategist (X)(Y)(T)” and add footnote designation “(T)” to one position of “Public Health Strategist (X)(Y)(II)”, “Public Health Strategist (X)(Y)(I)”, and Health Strategy Director (I)(X)(Y).

 

Under “Health Department, Community Health Division”, amend footnote “(O)” to read as follows:

 

“(O)                     To expire 6/30/22 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division”, amend footnotes “(P)” and “(JJ)” to read as follows:

 

“(P)                     To expire 6/30/22 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended.” 

 

“(JJ)                     To expire 6/30/22 unless the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services, is extended.”

 

Under “Sexual & Reproductive Health”, delete one position of “Mammography Technologist (JJ)”.

 

Under “Well Woman Initiatives”, add one position of “Mammography Technologist (JJ)”, “Mammographer (JJ)”, and “Nurse Practioner (JJ)”.

 

Under “Health Department, Environmental Health Division”, amend footnotes “(A)” and “(P)” to read as follows:

 

“(A)                     To expire 6/30/22 unless the CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant is extended.”

 

“(P)                     To expire 6/30/22 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended.” 

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200537 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2021 - July 11, 2021):

 

Under “Fire and Police Commission, Administration”, delete one position of “Program Assistant III” and add one position of “Administrative Support Specialist”.

 

Under “Emergency Management”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and add one position of “Administrative Support Specialist”.

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2021 (July 11, 2021).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
