Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1997 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 961002 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Milwaukee Information Systems, Professional and Technical Services Section, City Care/Network Support Team", delete one position of "Computer Assistant I" and add one position of "Computer Assistant II."
Under "City Attorney's Office-Legal Division", delete five positions of "Legal Assistant" and substitute in lieu thereof five positions of "Paralegal."
Under "Department of Building Inspection, Grant Programs, Drug Abatement (State) (B)", delete one position of "Training and Development Specialist (B)(X)" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Landlord Training and Development Manager (B)(X)."
Under "Common Council-City Clerk, Council Services Division, Community Services Section", delete one position of "Community Services Specialist-Senior (X)."
Under "Municipal Court, Management and Administration", delete one position of "Automation Services Administrator" and add one position of "Court Systems Administrator."
Under "Health Department/Administration Decision Unit, Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Grant (S)", add footnote designation "(X)" to one position of "Program Assistant II (S)"; under "Childhood Lead Detection Grant", delete one position of "Office Assistant II" and add one position of "Office Assistant IV" and amend footnote "(Z)" as follows: "To expire 6/30/98 unless the Childhood Lead Detection Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Social Services, is extended. Positions are authorized only as reflected in the grant agreement as approved by the Grantor Agency."; under "Public Health Services Decision Unit, Childhood Lead Detection Grant", add one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (.5 FTE)(X)"; and under "Chronic Disease Division", add one position of "Community Services Specialist - Senior (X)."
Under "Library, Neighborhood Library and Extension Services Decision Unit, Automotive Services Unit", delete one position of "Library Automotive Supervisor" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Automotive Services Specialist."
Under "Police Department, Administration Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau, Data Services Division", delete one position of "Police Officer" and add one position of "Microcomputer Coordinator."
Under "Department of Public Works-Buildings and Fleet Division, Design and Construction Section, Drafting Service Unit", delete one position of "Drafting Technician V" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Recreation Facilities Coordinator."
Under "Department of Public Works-Water Works, Plants Decision Unit, Linnwood Laboratory", delete one position of "Lead Water Plant Chemist" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Lead Water Chemist"; under "Howard Laboratory", delete one position of "Lead Water Plant Chemist" and add one position of "Lead Water Chemist"; under "Water Quality Decision Unit", delete one position of "Lead Water Quality Chemist" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Lead Water Chemist."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
