- ANALYSIS -
This resolution confirms the report of the Commissioner of Public Works for improvements on which the benefited property owner has waived his right to a public hearing. The resolution authorizes the levying of special assessments and directs the installation and construction of said public improvements.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted a preliminary resolution determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:
N. Humboldt Ave. (E/S) - E. Lyon St. to 150 ft. m/l north of E. Lyon St. (690-0025-7), and E. Lyon St. (N/S) - N. Humboldt Ave. to 150 ft. m/l east of N. Humboldt Ave. (690-0024-1) File Number 980620: Special Harp Lighting. (Nonassessable Lighting Fund 31-523---060-0001 -- $4,500; Assessable Lighting Fund 71-523---060-0001 -- $4,500; DCD Lighting Fund 31-191---618-1200 -- $4,500)
in the 3rd and 4th Aldermanic Districts of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The report of the Commissioner of Public Works has been filed with the City Clerk; and
Whereas, Waivers of notice and hearing of all abutting property owners have been filed; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the report of the Commissioner of Public Works be approved; and, be it
Further Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with said report pursuant to Section 66.60 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes ; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City departments take such action as is required of them to assess, as a lump sum, the Lyon Street Condominium Association for one-third of the cost to install the harp lighting; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital purpose subaccount.
