Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2005 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Assessor's Office, Common Council/City Clerk - Legislative Reference Bureau Division, Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Department of Public Works - Operations Division- Forestry Section and Main Street Milwaukee Partners Board.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Assessor's Office, Systems and Administration Division”, delete one position of “Assessment Technician” and add one position of “Property Assessment Technician.”
Under “Common Council-City Clerk, Legislative Reference Bureau Division”, delete one position of “Legislative Fiscal Analyst-Lead” and add one position of “Legislative Research Analyst-Senior”; under “Fiscal Review Section”, delete one position of “Fiscal Review Analyst-Sr.” and add one position of “Legislative Fiscal Analyst-Lead.”
Under “Health Department, Maternal and Child Health Division, Maternal Health Grant (III)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(III)” and add footnote “(III)” to read as follows: “To expire 10/31/05 unless the Maternal Child Health Grant is extended”; under “Southside Health Center”, delete one position of “Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)(AA)(FF)” and add one position of “Manager of Nursing Practice (X)(AA)(FF)”; under “Laboratory Services Division, Microbiological Division”, delete five positions of “Microbiologist II” and add five positions of “Microbiologist II (HHH)” and add footnote “(HHH)” to read as follows: “One position partially funded by the Gonococcal Susceptibility Grant. Grant expires 06/30/05 unless funding is extended.”
Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit” delete one position of “Police Officer” and add one position of “Lieutenant of Detectives (N)” and add footnote “(N)” to read as follows: “Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant. Position authority to expire 12/31/05 unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended.”
Under “Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, Sewer Maintenance Fund, Underground Decision Unit, Sewer Underground Operations”, delete one position of “Sewer Equipment Mechanic” and add one position of “Equipment Mechanic I”; under “Operations Division, Forestry Section, Administration”, delete one position of “Landscape Designer” and add one position of “Landscape Architect.”
Part 2. Section 7 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Add the following board: “Main Street Milwaukee Partners Board.”
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
