Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2024 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

City Attorney, Common Council - City Clerk, Comptroller, Department of Emergency Communications, Department of Employee Relations, Fire Department, Health Department (Clinical Services Division; Environmental Health Division), Library, Police Department, Department of Public Works (Operations Division, Transportation Fund)

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 1GX, add the title of “Civic Engagement Services Manager (11)”.

 

Under Pay Range 1IX, delete the titles of “Emergency Communications Supervisor - Quality Assurance”, “Emergency Communications Supervisor - Training”, and “Emergency Communications Supervisor”.

 

Under Pay Range 1JX, add the title of “Community Relations, Engagement and Recruitment Director (13)” and add new footnote (13) to read as follows:

 

(13)                      Recruitment is at:

 

Biweekly                     4,200.81

Annual                                           109,221.06

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 6, 2024 - March 3, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 2EN, delete the title of “Parking Administrative Services Coordinator (6)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 2IN, delete the title of “Docketing Specialist - Senior (3)”, delete footnote (3) in its entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 2IX, delete the title of “Inspector General (3)”, delete footnote (3) in its entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 2JN, add the titles of “Docketing Coordinator (13)” and “HRIS Auditor (13)”, and add new footnote (13) to read as follows:

Under Pay Range 2MN, add the titles of “Emergency Communications Supervisor - Quality Assurance (7)”, “Emergency Communications Supervisor - Training (7)”, and “Emergency Communications Supervisor (7)”; and add new footnote (7) to read as follows:

Under Pay Range 2OX, delete the title of “Capital Finance Manager (1)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2SX, add the title of “Capital Finance Manager (4)” and add new footnote (4) to read as follows:

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 5 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 5IN, delete the title of “Lead Project Assistant” and add the title of “Lead Enrollment Coordinator (5)”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 7 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 7HN, add the titles of “Housing Compliance Officer 1 (4)” and “Lead Project Inspector 1 (4)”.

 

Under Pay Range 7IN, add the titles of “Housing Compliance Officer 2 (4)” and “Lead Project Inspector 2 (4)”.

 

Part 6.  Part 1, Section 9 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 9MN, add the title of “Youth Fleet Apprentice”.

 

Part 7.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 6, 2024 (March 3, 2024).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Parts 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 9, 2024 (April 14, 2024).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 10.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
