Whereas, Three raised crosswalks and six concrete pinned-on bumpouts are requested by the Brady Street Business Improvement District for speed reduction and safety on East Brady Street; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works completed the design and estimate of the project for the Brady Street Business Improvement District; and
Whereas, the Brady Street Business Improvement District is requesting that DPW contract the work for the construction of the traffic calming and will pay the cost of the 33% special assessment recovery ratio for construction costs; and
Whereas, The DPW will be the lead agency of the project design and construction; and
Whereas, This project is programmed for construction in 2026; and
Whereas, The preliminary engineering was approved in Resolution File Number 260290 (ST211250156); and
Whereas, Funding for the construction phase of the project is included in Resolution File Number 260441; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public works is hereby authorized to execute the project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Memo of Understanding Between the City of Milwaukee and the Brady Street Business Improvement District.” for the cost of the construction of three raised crosswalks and six concrete pinned-on bumpouts on East Brady Street between North Farwell Avenue and North Van Buren Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That minor changes to the memo of understanding which do not change its intent are hereby approved.
