Title
Resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $352,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,378,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $352,000 with the total cost estimated to be $1,378,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
N. 39th St. - W. Fairmount Ave. to W. Lancaster Ave. (SM495250048) Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of the project including the requested amount is $167,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
7th and 10th Aldermanic Districts
N. 53rd St. - W. Center St. to W. Hadley St. (SM495250050) Relaying storm sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $231,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
8th Aldermanic District
W. Harrison Ave. - 200’ east of S. 30th St. to S. 31st St. (SM495250051) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $152,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
12th Aldermanic District
S. 9th St. - W. Greenfield Ave. to W. Washington St. (SM499250011) File Number 250500: Installing permeable pavers. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $15,000, additional funds). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $117,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.
W. Pierce St. - S. 5th St. to S. 6th St. (ST211250158) Paving construction inspection. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $150,000) The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025-2026 construction season.
15th Aldermanic District
N. 23rd St. - 140’ north of W. McKinley Ave. to 240’ north of W. McKinley Ave. (SM495250046) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $44,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
N. 46th St. - W. Clarke St. to W. Center St. (SM495250049) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $225,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
W. McKinley Ave. - N. 23rd St. to N. 24th St. (SM495250047) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $142,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2026 construction season.
City Wide
Suburban Plan Reviews (WT410240800) File number 241061: Plan review. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $100,000, additional funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2025 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
