Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1997 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 961002 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Milwaukee Information Systems", delete one position of "Business Development Representative (ISD)", one position of "Client Services Manager (ISD)(Y)", one position of "Client Services Representative (ISD)", one position of "ISD Financial Officer (Y)" and one position of "Professional Services Manager (ISD)(Y)" and add one position of "Business Development Representative (MIS)", one position of "Client Services Manager (MIS)(Y)", one position of "Client Services Representative (MIS)", one position of "MIS Financial Officer (Y)" and one position of "Professional Services Manager (MIS)(Y)."
Under "Comptroller, Financial Advisory Division", delete one position of "Management Accounting Specialist" and add one position of "Revenue and Financial Services Assistant-Senior."
Under "Department of City Development, Community Planning and Development Services Decision Unit, Comprehensive Planning Division, Urban Design Section", delete one position of "Urban Design Manager (Y)" and substitute in lieu thereof one position of "Long Range Planning Manager (Y)."
Under "Health Department Public Health Services Decision Unit, Injury Prevention Grant, delete one position of "Health Education Assistant (.6 FTE)(X)" and add one position of "Health Education Assistant (.78 FTE)(X)"; amend footnote "(K)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/98 unless the Injury Prevention Grant is extended." and amend footnote "(T)" as follows": "To expire 9/30/98 unless the Pregnancy Outreach Grant is extended. Also funds .5 FTE of an Office Assistant II."; and under "Women, Infants and Childrens' Grant", delete one position of "Dietetic Technician (X)" and three positions of "Office Assistant II" and amend footnote "(C)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/98 unless the Women, Infants and Children's Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services is extended. This grant also funds .75 FTE of the Nutritionist Coordinator located in the Chronic Disease Division."
Under "Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Communications and Marketing Section", delete one position of "Administrative Assistant III" and add one position of "Program Assistant II."
Under "Police Department", amend footnote "(T)" to read: "(T) El Protector Program Grant. To expire 9-30-98 unless the El Protector Grant is extended."
Under "Special Purpose Account-Deferred Compensation Plan", delete one position of "Administrative Assistant I" and add one position of "Program Assistant II."
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
