A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2024 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of Administration (Office of the Director, Office of Equity and Inclusion, Environmental Collaboration Office, Community Development Grand Administration, Intergovernmental Relations Division), Common Council-City Clerk, Comptroller, Department of Emergency Communications, Department of Employee Relations, Health Department (Clinical Services Division), Mayor, Police Department, Department of Public Works - Water Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows  (Effective Pay Period 5, 2024 - February 18, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 1IX, add footnote (17) to the title of “Business Systems Administrator (15)” and add new footnote (17) to read:

 

(17)                     Employees involved with the CAD/ Mobile Implementation Project shall receive an incentive 2%.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows  (Effective Pay Period 22, 2024 - October 13, 2024):

 

Under Pay Range 1DX, delete the title of “License Coordinator (3)”, delete footnote (3) in its entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 1FX, delete the titles of “Council Administration Manager”, “Document Services Manager (9) (10)”, and “License Division Assistant Manager (11)”; delete footnotes (9), (10) and (11) in their entirety; and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 1GX, delete the title of “Water Quality Operations Manager (6)” and add the title of “Water Quality Supervisor (6)”.

 

Under Pay Range 1HX, delete the titles of “Legislative Research Supervisor (6)”, “License Division Manager (1) (8)”, and “Pay Services Supervisor (6)”; add the titles of “Compensation Supervisor (6)”, “Council Administration Manager (6)”, Document Services Manager (5) (18)”, and “License Division Supervisor (21)”; and amend footnote (18) and add new footnote (21) to read:

Part 6.  Part 1, Section 4 of ordinance File Number 230639 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows  (Effective Pay Period 12, 2023 - May 28, 2023):

 

Under Pay Range 4KN, delete the language of “For those employees hired prior to October 3, 2011 who make the member contribution to the ERS per the City/MPSO labor agreement:” and replace with the language of “For those employees hired prior to October 3, 2011 who make the member contribution to the ERS per the City/MPA labor agreement”.

 

Part 7.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2023 (May 28, 2023).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 5, 2024 (February 18, 2024).

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Parts 2, 3, and 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 22, 2024 (October 13, 2024).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part .  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
