Resolution amending Common Council File 961014 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Refugee Health Program Grant. (Health Department)
ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 961014 relative to the Refugee Health Program Grant. The purpose of the grant is to provide services to the refugee population entering Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 961014 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Refugee Health Program Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Economic Support or the purpose of provision of services to the refugee population entering Milwaukee. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $16,300 and a City share total of $6,012; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $7,730; the in-kind City share is increased by $615; and the total cost is increased by $8,345; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Economic Support is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1997 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled Refugee Health Program Grant:

Further Resolved, That these funds are appropriated to the Health Department which is authorized to:
Expend from the amount appropriated sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date; and
Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses articulated in Common Council File 970906 remain applicable.
