Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2014 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:
Department of Administration, City Attorney, Department of City Development, Fire Department, Health Department, Library, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 130420 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of Administration, Office of Environmental Sustainability", delete one position of "Environmental Sustainability Program Coordinator (A)(X)(Y)", add one position of "Environmental Sustainability Program Coordinator (A)(C)(X)(Y), and add footnote "(C)" to read as follows: "To expire 12-31-2015 unless the Rooftop Solar Challenge II grant is extended.".
Under "Fire Department, Firefighting Division Decision Unit, Firefighter Service", add one position of "Fire Lieutenant".
Under "Paramedic Service", delete one position of "Paramedic Field Lieutenant (C)(I)/Fire Paramedic Field Lieutenant (C)(I)".
Under "Library, Central Library Decision Unit, Interlibrary Services Grant (H)", add one position of "Library Circulation Assistant I (0.50 FTE) (H)", delete one position of "Library Circulation Aide (0.56 FTE) (H)", and amend footnote "(H)" as follows: "To expire 06/30/15 unless the Interlibrary Services Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, is extended. Positions are authorized only as reflected in the grant agreements as approved by the Grantor Agencies.
Under "Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Technical Communications Division", delete ten positions of "Police Telecommunicator Seasonal and add ten positions of "Police Telecommunicator".
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 130420 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 18, 2014 - August 17, 2014):
Under "City Attorney", add one position of "IT Support Specialist-Senior".
Under "Administrative Division", delete one position of "Legal Office Assistant IV".
Under "Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Office of the Commissioner", add one position of "Commercial Corridor Manager (X)(Y)".
Under "Health Department, Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic", delete one position of "Public Health Educator II (X)", add one position of "Communicable and Infectious Disease Program Coordinator (X)", delete one position of "Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)(Y)", and add one position of "Nursing Practice Manager (X)(Y)".
Under "Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Records Management Section", delete the entire section and replace as follows:

Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 18, 2014 (August 17, 2014).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
