Title

Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2003 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 5 of ordinance File Number 020486 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows(Effective Pay Period 19, 2003 - August 31, 2003):

Under Pay Range 406, add footnote designation "1/" after the title "Library Circulation Assistant I" and add footnote "1/" to read as follows: "Effective Pay Period 19, 2003, one position held by Paula Dorsey, in the Milwaukee Public Library, to be paid at rates consistent with pay Range 936 while performing contract administrator duties. Effective August 11, 2003 through August 30, 2003, Paula Dorsey shall be paid the biweekly rate of $1,288.16 instead of $1,128.16."

Under Pay Range 540, delete footnote designation "6/" after the title "Public Works Inspector II" and delete footnote "6/" in its entirety.

Part 2.  Section 23 of ordinance File Number 020486 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 19, 2003 - August 31, 2003):

Delete the biweekly rate shown for Pay Range 936 and substitute the following rate:

Part 3.  Section 23 of ordinance File Number 020486 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 21, 2003 - October 1, 2003):

Under Pay Range 925, add the title "Temporary Circulation Clerk".

Under Pay Range 944, add the title "Temporary Reference Specialist."

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 1 & 2 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 19, 2003 (August 31, 2003).

The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 21, 2003 (October 1, 2003).

Part 6.  The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
