Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2018 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Administration, Assessor’s Office, Health Department, Department of Neighborhood Services, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division, Unified Call Center, delete one position of “Unified Call Center Customer Service Representative IV”, add one position of “UCC Customer Service Representative IV”, delete one position of “Unified Call Center Customer Service Representative IV (D)”, add one position of “UCC Customer Service Representative IV (D)”, delete seven positions of “Unified Call Center Customer Service Representative III”, add seven positions of “UCC Customer Service Representative III”, delete two positions of “Unified Call Center Customer Service Representative III - Bilingual”, and add two positions of “UCC Customer Service Representative III - Bilingual”.
Under “Auxiliary Personnel”, delete three positions of “Unified Call Center Customer Service Representative III” and add three positions of “UCC Customer Service Representative III”.
Under “Health Department”, amend footnotes “(A)”,“(O)”, “(P)”, and “(JJ)” to read as follows:
“(A) To expire 06/30/19 unless the CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant is extended.”
“(O) To expire 06/30/19 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”
“(P) To expire 06-30-19 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended.”
“(JJ) To expire 6/30/19 unless the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services, is extended.”
Under “Disease Control & Environmental Health Services Division, TB, CD, & IMMS Program”, add one position of “Program Assistant II (X)(A)(DD)”.
Under “Family and Community Health Services Division, Milwaukee Breast Cancer Awareness Program”, delete one position of “Community Education Assistant (X)(GG)(JJ) and add one position of “Medical Assistant (X)(JJ)”.
Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP)”, add two positions of “Neighborhood Improvement Project Inspector (B)(X)”.
Under “Police Department”, amend footnotes “(K)”, “(N)”, and “(S)” to read as follows:
“(K) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant. Position authority to expire if HIDTA funding and the HIDTA project are discontinued or until 12/31/19 unless the HIDTA grant is extended.”
“(N) Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant: Position authority to expire 12/31/18, unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended.”
“(S) State Beat Patrol Grant: To expire 12/31/18 unless the State Beat Patrol Program Grant available from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance, is extended.”
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2018 - July 15, 2018):
Under “Assessor’s Office, Real Property”, delete one position of “Office Assistant III” and add one position of “Property Assessment Technician”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2018 (July 15, 2018).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
