Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $61,500 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,181,500.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $61,500 with the total cost estimated to be $1,181,500.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
4th Aldermanic District
W. Kilbourn Ave. - N. 24th St. to N. 25th St. (WT410230699) Relaying water main and lead replacement of service. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $1,000. Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $14,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $135,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2023 construction season.
Various Aldermanic Districts
High impact paving: S. 14th St., S. 68th St., S. Clement Av., S. Griffin Av., W. Rosedale Av. etc. (ST216210108) File Number 201273: Asphalt surface overlay: (Nonassessable High Impact Paving Fund -- $46,500 additional funds). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,046,500. These funds are needed to close out the contract.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
