A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2026 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of Compliance and Engagement, Election Commission, Department of Equity and Inclusion, Health Department (Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration; Family & Community Health Division), Library, Port Milwaukee, Department of Public Works (Administrative Services Division)

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250699 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2020 - July 26, 2020):

 

Under Election Commission, Seasonal Staff, add two-hundred positions of “Chief Inspector (0.26 FTE)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250699 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2026 - December 21, 2025):

 

Under Library, Operations Decision Unit, Business Section, delete two positions of “Library Security Guard (L)”.

 

Under Central Custodial Unit, delete two positions of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Under Auxiliary Positions, add two positions of “Library Security Guard (L)” and add two positions of “Custodial Worker 2”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250699 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 11, 2026 - May 10, 2026):

 

Under Department of Equity and Inclusion, amend the name of the department to read “Department of Compliance and Engagement”.

 

Under Department of Compliance and Engagement, delete one position of “Chief Equity Officer (CCR)” and add one position of “Compliance and Engagement Director (CCR)”.

 

Under Health Department, Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration, amend footnote (A) to read:

 

(A)                     This position designated as bilingual.

 

Under Human Resources, delete one position of “Public Health Intern” and add one position of “Public Health Youth Apprentice”.

 

Under Clinic Operations, delete three positions of “Community Health Administrative Specialist 3 (A) (X)”, add two positions of “Health Administrative Specialist 3 (X)”, and add one position of “Health Administrative Specialist 3 (A) (X)”.

 

Under Health Department, Family & Community Health Division, Empowering Families of Milwaukee (EFM), delete one position of “Community Health Administrative Specialist 3 (X) (FFHV)” and add one position of “Health Administrative Specialist 3 (X) (FFHV)”.

 

Under Strong Baby Program, delete two positions of “Community Outreach Specialist (X) (MCH)”, add one position of “FIMR Coordinator (MCH)”, and add one position of “FIMR Case Abstractor (MCH)”. 

 

Under Port Milwaukee, Administration and Finance Section, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant III (Y)” and add one position of “Administrative Services Coordinator (Y)”.

 

Under Department of Public Works, Administrative Services Division, Budget and Finance, delete one position of “Financial Services Director” and add one position of “DPW Financial Administration Director (X) (Y)”.

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2020 (July 26, 2020).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2026 (December 21, 2025).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 11, 2026 (May 10, 2026).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 8.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
