Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2005 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Department of City Development; Health Department and Department of Public Works, Administrative Services Division.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 040459 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Office of the Commissioner", add 25 positions of "Team Leader (B)" and 220 positions of "Summer Youth Intern (B)" and add footnote (B) to read as follows: "25 Team Leader and 220 Summer Youth Intern positions are 100% funded by Community Development Block Grant funds, from 6/20/05 through 7/29/05"; under "Housing Rehab. and Development Services Section", add one position of "Community Outreach Liaison (C)" and add footnote "(C)" to read as follows: “One position subject to the availability of Community Development Block Grant funding."
Under “Health Department, Healthy Behaviors and HealthCare Access Division, “Medical Assistance Outreach Program”, delete “one position of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(CC)” and add one position of “Health Access Assistant II (X)(CC)(S)” and add footnote “(S)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/05 unless the Medical Assistance Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Health Access Assistant”; under “Disease Control and Prevention Division”, delete four positions of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X)(CCC)” and add three positions of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X) and one position of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X)(CCC)(KKK)” and add footnote “(KKK)” to read as follows: “To expire 06/30/05 unless the West Nile Virus Grant is extended”; delete the title “Environmental Capacity Grant (WW)” and one position of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (.5 FTE)(X)(WW)” and delete footnote “(WW)” in its entirety; amend footnote “(HH)” to read as follows: “To expire 12/31/05 unless the Hepatitis B Immunization Grant is extended. 0.3 FTE Health Interpreter Aide funded by other sources.”
Under “Department of Public Works, Administrative Services Division, Office of the Commissioner” add footnote designation “(X)” to the title “Commissioner-Public Works (Y).”
Part 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 3. The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 4. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
