Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Election Commission to expend additional funds for various expenses.  The Election Commission would be authorized to expend an additional $322,077.96 for remaining elections in 2002.
 
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 980965 established procedural guidelines related to the expenditure of funds to be reimbursed by greater than anticipated revenues; and
 
Whereas, The Election Commission has administered and funded unanticipated recall elections for Milwaukee County; and
 
Whereas, Milwaukee County has reimbursed the City $247,921.06 for this service; and
 
Whereas, Milwaukee County will reimburse the City an additional $74,156.90; and
 
Whereas, The Comptroller has certified greater than anticipated revenue in the amount of $322,077.96, pursuant to s. 304-91; and
 
Pursuant to s. 304-91, I hereby certify that the money required for this is anticipated to be realized on or before 12/31/02 and to be expended only for the purpose in this resolution.

Resolved, That $322,077.96 is appropriated to the Election Commission's operating expenditures account #0001-1700-R999-006300 from the Special Purpose Account - Reimbursable Services Advance Fund; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Election Commission is authorized to expend $322,077.96 in their operating expenditure account 0001-1700-R999-006300 for expenses associated with administering elections; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to establish the necessary accounts and accounting procedures to carry out the intent of this resolution.
