Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $1,241,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $20,151,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $1,241,000 with the total cost estimated to be $20,151,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
W. Hope Ave. - N. 19th St. to N. 19th Pl. (SM495120081): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $75,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
3rd and 4th Aldermanic Districts
E. Juneau Ave. - N. Market St. to N. Milwaukee St. (SM495100222): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000, Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $333,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
4th Aldermanic District
W. Highland Blvd. - N. 27th St. to 400 feet m/l west of N. 27th St. (SM495120079): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $452,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.
W. Wisconsin Ave. - N. 27th St. to N. 30th St. (SM495120087): Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $118,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Area bounded by W. Congress St., W. Capitol Dr., N. Sherman Blvd., and N. 35th St. (#7) (SM494120218): Lateral and sanitary sewer lining. (Infiltration/Inflow Reduction Fund -- $25,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $3,626,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
