Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:
Assessor’s Office, Fire Department and Police Department.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2005 - December 19, 2004):
Under “Assessor’s Office, Board of Review”, delete five positions of “Member, Board of Review (Y)” and add nine positions of “Member, Board of Review (Y).”
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):
Under “Fire Department, Supporting Services Decision Unit, Automation Section”, delete one position of “Information Technology Assistant” and add one position of “Information Technology Specialist.”
Part 3. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Police Department, Vice Control Division”, add one “Detective (N)” and one position of “Police Officer (N)” and amend footnote “(N)” to read as follows: “Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant: Position authority to expire 12/31/06, unless the Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Grant is extended.”
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2005 (December 19, 2004).
The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2006 (January 1, 2006).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 6. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
