This resolution will dedicate City-owned lands for public alley purposes to widen the southerly east-west alley in the block bounded by West Garfield Avenue, West Lloyd Street, North 24th Place and North 25th Street.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee acquired certain parcels of land located at 2119 North 24th Place by Tax Deed dated and recorded on April 13, 1998 as Document Number 7516327 in Reel 4285 and Image 1024 also 2118 North 25th Street by Tax Deed dated and recorded on June 12, 1989 as Document Number 6283823 in Reel 2338 and Image 581; and
 
Whereas, Vehicular traffic using the alley adjacent to said City-owned parcels has rutted the City property by driving off the alley pavement when avoiding the tight turn between the north-south alley and the southerly east-west alley; and
 
Whereas, Once the portions of City-owned parcels of land have been dedicated for public alley purposes, a concrete cutoff can be constructed to alleviate the problem; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described City-owned land hereby is set aside and dedicated for public alley purposes:
 
That part of Lot 15 in Block 8 of Meehan and Somer's Subdivision, a recorded subdivision, in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 19, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 15; thence North, along the east line of Lot 15, to a point lying 5.00 feet north of, as measured normal to, the south line of Lot 15; thence West, parallel to said south line, to a point lying 10.00 feet east of, as measured normal to, the west line of Lot 15; thence Northwest to a point in said west line, said point lying 15.00 feet north of, as measured normal to, said south line; thence South, along said east line, to the southwest corner of Lot 15, thence East, along said south line, 127.50 feet to the point of commencement.
