Title
Resolution amending certain attachments to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007 relating to deadlines for the submission, correction and processing of applications and the selection of candidates for the Milwaukee Youth Council.
Analysis
This resolution amends certain attachments to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007, adopted November 23, 2004, relating to process and procedures to be used by the Youth Council Selection Committee in selecting the first members to the Milwaukee Youth Council. In order to provide additional time for applicants to submit and correct application materials and the Youth Council Selection Committee to receive and process the applications and select candidates, this resolution amends the attachment entitled Initial Youth Council Selection Process by the following:
1. Deletes throughout Item #5 of the attachment the text "January 10, 2005" and inserts in lieu thereof: "January 31, 2005."
2. Deletes in Item #6 of the attachment the text "the end of January 2005," and inserts in lieu thereof: "February 21, 2005."
3. Deletes in Item #8 of the attachment the text "March 16, 2005" and inserts in lieu thereof: "April 12, 2005."
In addition, this resolution amends the attachment identified as Exhibit A by deleting the text "January 10, 2005" and inserting in lieu thereof: "January 31, 2005."
Body
Whereas, On November 23, 2004, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 041007 and the attachments thereto relating to process and procedures to be used by the Youth Council Selection Committee in selecting the first members to the Milwaukee Youth Council; and
Whereas, Included as an attachment to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007 is a document entitled Initial Youth Council Selection Process, which, in part, establishes deadlines for the submission, correction and processing of applications and the selection of candidates for the Milwaukee Youth Council; and
Whereas, Also included as an attachment to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007 is a communication to applicants, which is identified as Exhibit A and references the deadline established for the submission and correction of applications for the Milwaukee Youth Council; and
Whereas, In order to provide additional time for applicants to submit and correct application materials and the Youth Council Selection Committee to receive and process the applications and select candidates, it is necessary to amend in the aforementioned attachments certain text relating to deadlines for the submission, correction and processing of applications and the selection of candidates for the Milwaukee Youth Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the attachment to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007 entitled Initial Youth Council Selection Process is amended as follows:
1. Delete throughout Item #5 of the attachment the text "January 10, 2005" and insert in lieu thereof: "January 31, 2005."
2. Delete in Item #6 of the attachment the text "the end of January 2005," and insert in lieu thereof: "February 21, 2005."
3. Delete in Item #8 of the attachment the text "March 16, 2005" and insert in lieu thereof: "April 12, 2005."

Further Resolved, That the attachment to Common Council Resolution File Number 041007 identified as Exhibit A is amended by deleting the text "January 10, 2005" and inserting in lieu thereof: "January 31, 2005."
