Title
A substitute ordinance relating to parking controls.
Analysis
This ordinance establishes the above-mentioned parking requirements in various parts of the
City.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 101-23-2 of the Code relating to No Stopping is amended by striking the following:
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 6th Street to North 7th Street from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Except Saturday and Sunday”
Part 2. Section 101-23-2 of the Code relating to No Stopping is amended by adding the following:
On West Bruce Street from a point 100 feet east of South 9th Street to a point 290 feet east thereof at any time
On North Water Street from a point 30 feet south of East Pearson Street to a point 100 feet south thereof from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
On the east side of South 20th Street from a point 55 feet north of West Morgan Avenue to a point 60 feet north thereof
Part 3. Section 101-23-3 of the Code relating to No Parking is amended by striking the following:
“On the east side of North Hackett Avenue from the south curb line of East Hampshire Street to a point 70 feet south thereof, at any time”
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from a point 95 feet west of North Vel R. Phillips Avenue to North 6th Street”
“On the east side of North 60th Street from West Vliet Street to West Burleigh Street from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM Except Saturday”
“On the west side of North 60th Street from West Wright Street to West Burleigh Street from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Except Saturday”
Part 4. Section 101-23-3 of the Code relating to No Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the west side of North Humboldt Avenue from East Pearson Street to a point 50 feet north
On the west side of South Pine Avenue from a point 100 feet north of East Layton Avenue to a point 25 feet north thereof
On the east side of North Water Street from East Wells Street to a point 60 feet north
In the alley bounded by West Greenfield Avenue, West Orchard Street, South 13th Street and South 14th Street
Part 5. Section 101-23-4-c of the Code relating to One-Hour Parking is amended by striking the following:
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 4th Street to North 5th Street from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday”
Part 6. Section 101-23-4-d of the Code relating to Two-Hour Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the east side of North Hackett Avenue from East Hampshire Street to a point 70 feet south from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Except Sunday
On the east side of North Water Street from a point 60 feet north of East Wells Street to East Kilbourn Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday
On the west side of North Water Street from East Wells Street to East Kilbourn Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday
Part 7. Section 101-23-4-k of the Code relating to Parking for the physically disabled is amended by adding the following:
The first two legal parking space on the west side of North Murray Avenue north of East North Avenue
Part 8. Section 101-24-1 of the Code relating to Tow-Away Zones is amended by striking the following:
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from a point 95 feet west of North Vel R. Phillips Avenue to North 6th Street”
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 6th Street to North 7th Street from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Except Saturday and Sunday”
Part 9. Section 101-27-3-b-1 of the Code relating to Alternate Side Night Parking is amended by adding the following:
On East Dove Street from South Howell Avenue to South Graham Street
Part 10. Section 101-32-3-b-2 of the Code relating to Twenty-Five Minute Meter Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the east side of North Water Street from a point 60 feet north of East Wells Street to a point 80 feet north thereof from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday
Part 11. Section 101-32-3-b-4 of the Code relating to One-Hour Meter Parking is amended by striking the following:
“On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 4th Street to North 5th Street from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday”
Part 12. Section 101-32-3-b-5 of the Code relating to Two-Hour Meter Parking is amended by striking the following:
“On North Water Street from East Kilbourn Avenue to East Wells Street from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday”
Part 13. Section 101-32-3-b-5 of the Code relating to Two-Hour Meter Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North Vel R. Phillips Avenue to North 6th Street from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday
On the east side of North Water Street from a point 140 feet north of East Wells Street to East Kilbourn Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday
On the west side of North Water Street from East Wells Street to East Kilbourn Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday
Part 14. Section 101-32-3-b-6 of the Code relating to Three-Hour Meter Parking is amended by striking the following:
“On the south side of East Edgewood Avenue from North Maryland Avenue to North Downer Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Except Saturday until noon and Except Sunday”
Part 15. Section 101-32-3-b-6 of the Code relating to Three-Hour Meter Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 6th Street to North 7th Street from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday
Part 16. Section 101-32-3-b-7 of the Code relating to Five-Hour Meter Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North Vel R. Phillips Avenue to North 6th Street from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday
On the south side of West Juneau Avenue from North 6th Street to North 7th Street from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday
Part 17. Section 101-32-3-b-8 of the Code relating to Ten-Hour Meter Parking is amended by adding the following:
On the south side of East Edgewood Avenue from North Maryland Avenue to North Downer Avenue from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Except Saturday until noon and Except Sunday
