Title

Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2006 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance makes positions changes to the following departments:

Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Library and Police Department.

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2006 - January 1, 2006):

 

Under “Department of Employee Relations - Operations Division, Training and Development Services”, delete one position of  “Recruiting and Training Specialist (X)” and add one position of  “Human Resources Representative (X).”

 

Under “Health Department, Maternal and Child and Home Environmental Health Division, Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant (E)”, delete one position of “Program Manager (X)(E),” one position of “Project/Systems Coordinator (X)(E),” one position of  “Data Manager (E)” and one position of “Public Health Educator (X)(E)” and add one position of “MCHVP Program Manager (X)(E),” one position of “Health Project Coordinator-MCHVP (X)(E),” one position of “Health Information Specialist (E)” and one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(E)”; under “Disease Control and Prevention Division, Bioterrorism Grant-Focus CRI (P)”, delete one position of “CRI Program Coordinator (P)(X)” and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator-CRI (P)(X).”

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 050457 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department, Maternal and Child and Home Environmental Health Division”, delete the title “Early Child Care Grant (QQ)” and delete one position of “Child Care Program Manager (X)(Q),” four positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(QQ)," one position of “Public Health Educator II (X)(QQ)," one position of “Health Project Assistant (QQ),” one position of “Environmental Hygienist (QQ)(X)” and one position of  “Office Assistant II (QQ)” and add the title “Health and Safety in Child Care Grant (QQ)” and add one position of  “Public Health Nurse(X)QQ)" and amend footnote “(QQ)” to read as follows: To expire 12/31/06 unless the Health and Safety in Child Care Grant is extended.”  

 

Under “Central Library Decision Unit, Central Library Services Bureau, Central Library Services Pool", add one position of “Library Reference Assistant.”

 

Under “Police Department, Operations Decision Unit”, amend footnote “(A)” to read as follows:  “Domestic Violence Liaison Project Grant. Position authority to expire 6/30/06 unless the Domestic Violence Liaison Project Grant funding is extended.”

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to have been in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2006  (January 1, 2006).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
