Analysis

This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

3rd Aldermanic District

N. Frederick Ave. - E. Locust St. to E. Linnwood Ave. (SM495030236) File Number 031103:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $164,000)

E. Linnwood Ave. (Various Locations) - N. Newhall St. to N. Maryland Ave. (SM495030234) File Number 030875:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $597,000)

7th Aldermanic District

N. 42nd St. - W. Burleigh St. to W. Fond du Lac Ave. (SM495040158) File Number 041350:  Relay sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $510,000)

8th Aldermanic District

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
