Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal Incorporated allowing them to occupy North Cass Street for roofing activities at 1329 North Cass Street.
Body
Whereas, Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal Incorporated has been contracted for roofing services at 1329 North Cass Street; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal Incorporated is requesting permission to occupy all of North Cass Street except for the east sidewalk from March 12, 2020 through March 13, 2020 or, if there is inclement weather, March 19, 2020 through March 20, 2020 ; and
Whereas, The applicant will open North Cass Street to traffic each night; and
Whereas, Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal Incorporated will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right-of-way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue occupancy permits to Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal Incorporated allowing them to occupy North Cass Street south of East Ogden Avenue to start on or about March 12, 2020 through March 13, 2020, or, if there is inclement weather, March 19, 2020 through March 20, 2020; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Commission of Public Works may approve additional or different dates to this proposed work.
