Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Special Purpose Account-Board of Zoning Appeals", delete one position of "Office Assistant III" and add one position of "Program Assistant I."
Under "Building Inspection, Grant Programs, Code Enforcement Program (CDA)(A)", delete three positions of "Administrative Specialist-Senior (A)(X)" and under "Drug Abatement (State)(B)", add one position of "Administrative Specialist (0.5 FTE)(B)(X)."
Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit", add "Milwaukee Healthy Beginnings Grant (HB)" and add one position of "Health Project Coordinator (FIMR)(HB)"; under "Tuberculosis Control Unit", delete two positions of "Public Health Aide (MM)(X)" and add two positions of "Public Health Aide-Tuberculosis Control (MM)(X)"; under "HUD Lead-Based Paint Abatement Grant", add footnote "(X)" to one position of "Lead Project Assistant (X)"; under "Public Health Services Decision Unit, Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD)", add one position of "Program Assistant II (DD)"; under "Women, Infants and Children's Grant", add one position of "Clinic Assistant (X)" and delete one position of "Office Assistant III" and one position of "Office Assistant II" and amend footnote "(C)" to read: "To expire 9/30/99 unless the Women, Infants and Childrens' Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services is extended. This grant also funds .25 FTE of the Nutritionist Coordinator and .5 FTE Nutritionist position located in the Chronic Disease Division."; under "Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant", add the notation (.2 FTE) to one position of "Public Health Aide (X)"; under "Consumer Protection & Environmental Health Decision Unit, Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant", delete one position of "Environmental Health Specialist (X)" and amend footnote "(W)" to read: "To expire 6/30/99 unless the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Social Services is extended."
Under "Police Department, Training Bureau, Child and Community Safety Section", add footnote designation "(X)" to two positions of "Safety Specialist-Senior."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 1998 - July 26, 1998):
Under "Department of Administration-Community Block Grant Aministration", delete one position of "Grant Monitor Manager (A)(X)(Y)" and add one position of "Associate Director (A)(X)(Y)."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 1998 (July 26, 1998).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
