Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works to execute a sewer agreement titled “Sewer Agreement Memo Of Understanding Between The City Of Milwaukee And The Village Of West Milwaukee” for the construction of City Sewers in West National Avenue and South 39^th Street.

Body

Whereas, The City is relaying their existing combined sewers in W. National Avenue and S. 39^th Street ahead of the National Avenue resurfacing project; and

Whereas, The City has requested permission from the Village to relocate a combined sewer manhole in the intersection of W. National Avenue and S. 39^th Street into the Village to avoid utility conflicts during construction; and

Whereas, The City has requested permission from the Village to relocate a combined sewer in S. 39^th Street into the Village to avoid utility conflicts during construction; and

Whereas, The City has requested permission from the Village to relocate the point where the Village’s sanitary sewer connects to the City’s combined sewer to a manhole in the intersection of W. National Avenue and S. 39^th Street; and

Whereas, This project is programmed for construction in 2024; and therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Commissioner of Public Works on behalf of the City of Milwaukee is hereby authorized to execute the sewer agreement titled “Sewer Agreement Memo Of Understanding Between The City Of Milwaukee And The Village Of West Milwaukee” for the construction of City Sewers in West National Avenue and South 39^th Street, a copy of which is attached and, be it

Further Resolved, That minor changes to the memo of understanding which do not change its intent are hereby approved.
