Title
Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City construction cost estimated to be $5,367,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $6,886,000.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. The City cost of the projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $5,367,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $6,886,000.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
1st Aldermanic District
N. 23rd St. - W. Ruby Ave. to W. Cornell St. (SM499240026) File Number 231910; Installing permeable pavers. (Nonassessable Water Quality Fund -- $50,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
3rd Aldermanic District
N. Bremen St. - E. Garfield Ave. to E. North Ave. (SM495240014) File Number 231722: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund --$120,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $135,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
E. Garfield Ave. - N. Bremen St. to N. Weil St. (SM495240015) File Number 231722: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $190,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $205,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

(Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $1,554,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,574,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $287,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

W. National Ave. - S. 37th St. to S. 39th St. (SM495230013) File Number 231829: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $60,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $297,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $557,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

W. Lisbon Ave. - N. 45th St. to N. 52nd St. (SM495230032) File Number 231298: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $408,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $428,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.
11th Aldermanic District
S. 48th St. - W. Forest Home Ave. to W. Oklahoma Ave. (ST211180218) Paving the roadway with asphalt. Laying a concrete curb and gutter. Laying concrete sidewalk. Doing all the necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $30,000, additional funding). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $280,000. These funds are to close out the project.
S. 94th St. - W. Howard Av. to a point 600' north of W. Howard Av. (ST211150111) File Number 230185: Asphalt pavement resurfacing, replace curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway approaches where necessary, sodding (8.0’width of tree border area) and grading. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $30,000, additional funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $210,000. These funds are to close out the project.

W. Becher St. - S. 6th St. to 150’ West of S. 8th St. (SM495230016) File Number 231723: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $60,000 additional funding). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $394,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2024 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
