Resolution to defer payment of water main and sanitary sewer charges until time of connection at 11210 and 11230 West Daphne Street, in the 15th Aldermanic District.
ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution allows the property owner to defer payment of the special improvement bills for the water main and sanitary sewer until time of connection. These bills were issued on December 1, 1997, however, the property owner believed that they would be deferred until time of connection.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, Resolution File Number 950939 adopted on November 6, 1995 authorized the construction of the new roadway at West Daphne Street between North 110th Street and 430 feet west of North 111th Street, and the installation of a water main and sanitary sewer; and
 
Whereas, The improvements were completed and the special improvement bills for the water main, sanitary sewer and corresponding laterals were sent to the abutting property owners on December 1, 1997; and
 
Whereas, The property owner of 11210 and 11230 West Daphne Street believed that the special improvement bills for the water main and sanitary sewer were to be deferred until time of connection; and
 
Whereas, The special improvement bills for the laterals are not eligible for deferral and the bill for the roadway paving which will be issued 12 months after completion and also is not eligible for deferment and as such both the laterals and paving work are to be billed in the usual manner, now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the following special improvement bills issued on December 1, 1997, be deferred until time of connection:

Further Resolved, That the charges for the sanitary sewer and water main will be handled in the customary assessment manner, in that the charge comes due as a lump sum when the City permits are issued and the charge is determined using the assessment rate in effect at the time of connection; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Treasurer and City Comptroller are authorized and directed to make necessary accounting entries to reflect the intent and purpose of this resolution.
