Title
Substitute ordinance to further amend the 2002 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 010468 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Health Department, Disease Control and Prevention Division", add the title "Emergency Preparedness Grant (UU)", add one position of "Environmental Hygenist (UU) (WW) (X)" and add footnotes "(UU)" and "(WW)" as follows: "(UU) To expire 12/31/02 unless the Emergency Preparedness Grant is extended. The Environmental Capacity Grant also funds a portion of the Environmental Hygenist position", "(WW) To expire 06/30/03 unless the Environmental Capacity Grant is extended. .5 FTE of the Environmental Hygenist position funded by the Emergency Preparedness Grant"; amended the following footnotes to read as follows: "(B) to expire 12/31/02", "(D) to expire 5/15/03", "(E) to expire 12/31/02", "(F) to expire 12/31/02", "(M) to expire 6/30/03", "(T) to expire 12/31/02", "(BB) to expire 4/30/03", "(HH) to expire 12/31/02", "(PP) to expire 12/31/02" and "(TT) to expire 12/31/02"; Under "Intervention to Prevent the Spread of Aids Grant (K)", delete one position of "Office Assistant III (K)."
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 010468 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Police Department, Administration/Services Decision Unit, Technical Services Bureau, Communications Maintenance Division", delete one position of "Police Electronic Technician" and add one position of "Electronic Technician"; under "Communications Operations Division" delete three positions of "Police Alarm Operator" and add three positions of "Police Dispatcher"; amend footnote "(F)" to read as follows: "A Truancy Abatement Grant: Four positions to expire 6/30/03 unless grant funding from the Milwaukee Public Schools continues."
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
