Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Northcentral Construction allowing occupancy of the southerly end of the north/south alley with a trash chute, dumpsters, fork lift, and delivery vehicles in the block bound by West Wells Street, North Old World Third Street, West Kilbourn Avenue, and North 2^nd Street.

Body

Whereas, Northcentral Construction has been contracted by the property owner of 808 North Old World Third Street to complete interior renovation work on the Century Building; and

Whereas, The work will be completed between the dates of approximately September 25, 2017 to October 1, 2018; and

Whereas, Northcentral Construction has requested to occupy the southerly 100 feet of the north/south alley a trach chute, dumpsters, fork lift an delivery vehicles in the block bound by West Wells Street, North Old World Third Street, West Kilbourn Avenue, and North 2^nd Street; and

Whereas, Northcentral Construction will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure of the alley and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to Northcentral Construction allowing occupancy of the southerly 100 feet of the north/south alley a trach chute, dumpsters, fork lift an delivery vehicles in the block bound by West Wells Street, North Old World Third Street, West Kilbourn Avenue, and North 2^nd Street between September 25, 2017 and October 1, 2018.
