Resolution authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute two (2) documents titled "Revised State/Municipal Agreement for a Highway Improvement Project" with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the programming and construction of two (2) bridge projects with Federal and/or State aid under the Local Bridge Replacement Program. This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute two (2) revised project agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming and construction of two (2) bridge projects with Federal and/or State aid funding under the Local Bridge Replacement Program. The revised agreements will now include construction costs to be undertaken with 80 percent Federal and/or State funds. The total estimated construction cost for the two (2) projects is $1,516,000 of which the City's share is $303,200.
BODY:
Whereas, Two (2) project agreements have been executed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Milwaukee for the preliminary engineering work on the following projects in accordance with Common Council Resolution File Number 950846:

16 North Hawley Road Bridge over the Menomonee River
8 South 29th Street Bridge Over the Union Pacific Railroad
and
Whereas, Two (2) revised project agreements, adding the construction phase of the projects to the previously approved preliminary engineering funding have been received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the above mentioned projects with Federal and/or State aid under the Local Bridge Replacement Program; and
Whereas, Estimated costs of engineering and construction for the above mentioned projects are as indicated in the revised project agreements; and
Whereas, Construction funds for the above mentioned projects will be included in future resolutions; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute the revised project agreements for the programming and construction of the improvement of the above mentioned projects with Federal and/or State Aid under the Local Bridge Replacement Program, copies of which are attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 972005, and are incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
