Title
Substitute resolution approving construction of nonassessable public improvement projects at various locations.
Analysis
This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
2nd Aldermanic District
N. 52nd St. - W. Vienna Ave. to W. Melvina St. (SM495040148) File Number 040315: Relay sanitary and storm sewers. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $370,000). The total cost to date for this project is $380,000.
7th Aldermanic District
N. 39th St. - W. Chambers St. to W. Burleigh St. (SM495050050) File Number 050718: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $253,000). The total cost to date for this project is $266,000.
N. 41st St. - W. Chambers St. to W. Burleigh St. (SM495050082) File Number 050718: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $125,000). The total cost to date for this project is $142,000.
N. 45th St. - W. Chambers St. to W. Burleigh St. (SM495050030) File Number 050136: Relay sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $124,000). The total cost to date for this project is $136,000.

W. Canal St. - N. 25th St. to Miller Park (ST320051110) File Number 051014: Variable message sign within the Miller Park traffic control project. (Reimbursible Grantor Funds (SP032060100) -- $40,000). The total cost to date of this traffic control project is still estimated to be $421,000.
10th and 15th Aldermanic Districts
W. Lloyd St. - N. 47th St. to N. 52nd St. (SM495030262) File Number 050136: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $484,000). The total cost to date for this project is $513,000.
12th Aldermanic District
S. 4th St. - W. Mitchell St. to W. Maple St. (SM495040142) File Number 040315: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $102,000). The total cost to date for this project is $110,000.
W. Maple St. - S. 2nd St. to S. 4th St. (SM495050071) File Number 050806: Combined sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $138,000). The total cost to date for this project is $163,000).
W. Mitchell St. - S. 2nd St. to S. 4th St. (SM495040153) File Number 040315: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $124,000). The total cost to date for this project is $134,000.
15th Aldermanic District
W. Brown St. - N. 20th St. to N. 26th St. (SM495040181) File Number 050136: Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $4,020,000). The total cost to date for this project is $4,060,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Engineer is authorized to sign the relocation order, right-of-way plat, and other documents required by the right-of-way process for the Wasaukee Rd. (N. 124th St.) from W. County Line Rd. to Mequon Rd. improvement project, whereby the improvement project requires land acquisition from parcels that lie within the City of Milwaukee; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
